A clothing and accessories brand created by Hawwaa Ibrahim
Hawwaa is a 21-year-old Non-Binary, Queer Muslim fashion designer. They started their career in fashion by watching YouTube videos and using their mother’s old hijabs to make clothing. After designing and sewing, they decided to start a blog between 2014-2019 to showcase their work and designs.
In 2016/2017, Hawwaa had the amazing opportunity to participate in Project Runway Junior Season Two where they finished 3rd overall. From there, they have shown collections during New York Fashion Week and Fashion Week Minnesota along with participating in charitable runways including the Minnesota American Heart Association’s “Red Dress Collection” and others.
Hawwaa, along with their alternative designs, has been featured in numerous magazines including “Marie Claire”, “Girls’ Life”, “Seventeen” and “Teen Vogue” for their designs and/or unique style and way of thinking.
Their brand because, was started in 2019. because was created with the belief that fashion is supposed to be fun, because aims to provide affordable, original, and colorful fashion for those who are not afraid to be seen.
